Kitchen Knives
We combine traditional craftsmanship with modern technology to ensure each blade receives the precise care it needs. For thick, durable European-style knives, we apply a robust sharpening process that restores a strong, lasting edge for heavy daily use.For high-end Japanese blades, with their delicate, razor-thin edges, we use precision wet grinding and a multi-stage honing process. This careful method brings back their legendary sharpness and protects their integrity. We treat every knife—from a well-loved kitchen workhorse to a professional's prized tool—with the respect it deserves, bringing each one back to its peak performance.Call or email to arrange your knives to be dropped off or posted to us.

Tools
For Woodworking:
Our sharpening methods are specifically adapted to protect the integrity of the tool's steel, preventing overheating and maintaining its temper. By removing only the necessary amount of material, we extend the life of your valuable tools for years to come. For Gardening:
We understand that your shears, pruners, and loppers are your most trusted partners in the garden, and we treat them as such. Our sharpening process is designed to restore a powerful, clean cutting edge that makes trimming, pruning, and shaping plants easier and less stressful for both you and your garden.A sharp tool not only makes your work more efficient, but it also creates cleaner cuts on plants, which helps them heal faster and stay healthier. We take the time to clean and sharpen each tool with care, ensuring that your valuable equipment is ready to tackle any task, from delicate rose pruning to heavy-duty hedge trimming.

About Us
We are a Father (Justin) and Son (Spencer) adventure. Since Spencer was around 2 years old, every 'Daddy Day' we would enjoy trips to a wonderful place called Tools for Self Reliance Cymru in Crickhowell. It became known to us as 'The Little Workshop.' This fantastic charity is a treasure trove of refurbished tools and we would regularly add to Spencer's prized collection, creating a growing love of tools.Learning how to sharpen them in order to use them in all the ways we needed to has been a joint venture and led to a passion for well honed items that we use in our day to day lives.Recognising a lack of artisan sharpeners in our local area, we decided to share our knowledge and expertise with the wider community so that they too can reuse and recycle old items rather than replacing them. We are passionate and proud about what we do and honoured to service your sharpening needs.
